SUPPORTERS of the 15th Bahrain Model UN (BAHMUN) have been recognised for their efforts by the Rotary Club of Adliya at its weekly meeting held at the Diplomat Radisson SAS Hotel, Resi-dence and Spa.
Among those acknowledged were BAHMUN’s keynote speaker Foreign Ministry Ambassador Karim Ebrahim Al Shakar, Indian School principal Dr A S Pillai and students and club members.
The awards were presented by club president Nazha Abu Hendi and BAHMUN chairman Hassan Al Balooshi.
More than 250 students, aged 15 to 18, took part in BAHMUN held last month at the Indian School, Isa Town.
The three-day event, organised by the club was held under the patronage of Education Minister Dr Majid Al Nuaimi.
BAHMUN is a simulated meeting of the UN General Assembly, the Security Council, the Economic and Social Council and the Human Rights Commission.
