The BAHMUN has 5 to 6 committees each year, depending on attendance. Each of these committees is chaired by two or three individuals, and one of them could be you!

Chair interviews will be conducted on the 7th of February at Med Café. Adliya from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm

Please note – in order to hold this position, you must be present at the conference for the full duration of all committee sessions and chair meetings. Although prior Model UN experience would be quite useful to you, you do not need any previous experience as a chair in order to be a proficient and successful one. We will train you and drill you in the proper use of parliamentary procedure. We will run through the conference schedule with you and explain to you in detail all that will be expected of you. There will be a series of 4 to 6 meetings in the months leading up to the conference, which you will be expected to attend, especially if this will be your first time chairing a MUN conference.

As chair, you may also be asked to help out as desired during the conference, to help the delegates get organized and quiet. To that effect, we greatly appreciate an enthusiastic and proactive attitude. You will also be expected to conduct yourself professionally and respectfully when in front of the participants at all times.

The position of Committee Chair is one of influence to these high school students. You would effectively be a role-model to them and would be expected to conduct yourself as one.
